Resolute assists lenders and distressed debt investors by advising on the recovery of mortgage secured and other real estate related non-performing and impaired loans. In addition to advising on the management of bilateral exposures, Resolute often works with syndicated lenders and on loans with complex tranching and intercreditor issues, helping to coordinate and implement restructuring and recovery activities.

Resolute works with real estate equity investors to optimise recoveries from investments in distressed real estate funds, joint ventures and direct holdings. In this role, Resolute assists single investors or groups of investors, often assuming the role of investor coordinator, by driving necessary changes and improvements in the approach, structure, decision making and asset management of the investment. In particular, Resolute has a strong expertise in “managing the manager” for fund investors.

This involves both the review of existing business plans on behalf of owners and due diligence and analysis for the acquisition of real estate underpinned non-performing and impaired assets. Depending on our clients’ requirements, Resolute can provide a complete due diligence service including portfolio reviews, collateral assessment, coordination of specialist advisers and legal counsel and financial modelling.

Resolute provides support services for the management and administration servicing by lenders and investors in the run-off or liquidation of loan and investment portfolios. These services include supporting banks which are closing non-core activities, where Resolute can take over the administration and provide advice on the management of loan portfolios. We also provide these services to non-performing loan investors, including hedge funds, private equity investors and other financial investors who are keen to enter the distressed sector but lack the infrastructure to fully manage the processes associated with administering and managing loan portfolios.
